Green Procurement

Our Approach

At Aratas, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business activities as part of our efforts to contribute to a sustainable society.
We believe that achieving this goal requires collaboration not only within our own operations but across the entire supply chain. Therefore, Aratas positions environmental impact reduction and compliance with applicable laws and social norms as the fundamental principles of its Green Procurement initiatives. By working closely with our suppliers and business partners, we strive to build a sustainable and responsible supply chain.
Going forward, we will continue working with our supply chain partners to reduce environmental impacts and contribute to addressing societal challenges through sustainable manufacturing.

Collaboration with Suppliers

Aratas regards its suppliers as important partners in promoting sustainable business practices.
Through our Green Procurement Standards and related documents, we communicate our environmental policies and requirements and seek our suppliers' cooperation in environmental management and the management of chemical substances contained in products.
Through ongoing dialogue and collaboration with our suppliers, we strive to improve environmental performance across the entire supply chain.

Reduction of Hazardous Chemical Substances

Aratas manages chemical substances contained in products in accordance with IEC 62474, the international standard for the electrotechnical industry, while also incorporating our own additional requirements and initiatives.
We continuously monitor product-related environmental regulations and update our management framework for chemical substances contained in products to ensure ongoing compliance.
Twice a year, we revise our controlled substance classification levels to reflect updates to the REACH Regulation's Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) list, while also considering developments in other relevant regulations. Through these efforts, we maintain thorough compliance with product environmental requirements and regulations.
As a result of these initiatives, no material violations related to product environmental regulations were identified in fiscal year 2025.
